It's been awhile, but J. has finally made some pieces that she would like to share. Enjoy! (FYI pictures 3 and 4 are bookmarks)
Two sisters find their creative side in their 20's. We encourage you to keep an open mind and understand we are just starting out. Hopefully you like what you see, or appreciate our attempts!

Having one of those days?
Hi Friends,
Ever had one of those days where things aren't quite going your way? Well, J had one of those days and received a reminder of some great advice from the movie Finding Nemo's very popular Dory character. That advice? "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...". Well, that advice inspired E to create one of her best paintings yet for J's office.

Taking matters...
Sometimes when you can't find what you are looking for at the store you have to take matters into your our hands and make your own. These are my first paintings that J encouraged E to paint when she could not find anything at the store to match her apartment. An interest was created from a jello box and juice glass.

A sample of E.'s paintings
Inspired by seeing order and structure in randomness and chaos, geometric shapes are where these paintings begin. E. uses two to three colours per picture, depending on the colour scheme selected. The paintings below were created for a home decorated with green and brown.
Just a few different designs.
Hello again!
My last post was just about bracelets, so this time I thought I would put up just a few pictures of some necklaces. I work mostly with silver metal and beads, although if requested, I have used gold or copper. Everyone's tastes in jewelery and clothes differ, so I tend to do what I would wear, and then let my creativity lead me. Have a great day!
I also have the middle piece in blue, green and black, and switch it out quickly to match a different outfit.
The blue pieces are shell beads and I've also done this same necklace twice with natural colour beads.

Hi All!
Well, I finally stopped procrastinating and took some pictures of just a few of my jewelery items. Here are pictures of some bracelets from my silver circle collection. Hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for different pieces coming soon.

Welcome to Merritt's Musings!
Thanks for stopping by our blog/online gallery!
For our family and friends, thank you for stopping by and showing your support. We can't thank you enough! Also, a special thank you to the family members who gave us the courage to put our hobbies on display. And, let's address what most of you are wondering...how are these two working together? We know...we are as surprised as you are!
To those stopping by who are unfamiliar with us, we are two sisters who have recently discovered they have a bit of an artistic side. By supporting each other and with gentle pushing from those closest to us, we've decided to finally let people see what we have been up to.
E. is the abstract painter. By using household objects and a shed or coffee table as her studio, she is able to create geometrically mesmerizing artwork. Although canvas is her main medium, she has been recently inspired to try some work with glass.
J. is into jewelery. Using a variety of materials and designs, her pieces come together for fun and functionality. She is constantly finding new ideas and deciding what is possible, and what should be left for the professionals.
We hope you enjoy our attempts at being creative. If you are interested in anything you see, please let us know and we can help you in purchasing or in creating something unique to suit your needs. Thanks!
